WRS M6 Plastic Turf Studs

If you are looking to increase the versatility of your soft ground boots and potentially avoid needing two pairs (one soft ground and one firm ground) you need plastic studs.

The plastic material absorbs impact better than more unforgiving metal studs and the shorter lengths mean you won't skate on the surface of a firm natural pitch.  They also have the benefit of being legal for artificial grass/turf pitches so you won't be surprised on game day!

While both stud lengths will work well on either natural or artificial surfaces, we generally recommend 8mm for use on firm/hard ground natural surfaces.  These fields tend to be more "baked" and penetrating the surface is much harder.  Longer studs actually have less traction in these situations.  So the shorter length plastic will absorb force well and provide the right amount of length for maximum traction.

For artificial surfaces, we generally recommend 11mm plastic studs.  These fields are easy to penetrate so this slightly longer stud will give maximum traction without any downsides.  Traditional metal is usually banned on these surfaces and longer lengths are not needed anyways so this is an ideal option here.

M6 refers to the thickness of the screw portion of the stud.  The M6 is slightly thicker than the more traditional M5 and is often used on more modern "backs" boots.

Each kit comes with (15) total studs in your selected size along with a stud wrench.  This will let you fully replace both boots and still have (3) spare studs as needed.

Here is a list of some compatible boot types:

don't fit the RS15

"Dont fit the RS15 well - I've lost 6 total after 2 practices after tightening before-hand. The tool that also comes with them is plastic which strips very easy so be careful not to use too much force. They were nice when they stayed on the shoes tho!"

Definitely not universal

"They don't work universally it would saved me a couple games if I knew these don't fit gilbert shoes"

Perfect fit

"My son placed these on his soccer cleats. They were a perfect fit! He has had a great season using them!"

Customer Service is AMAZING

"I can't edit my previous review so leaving another one. Worked with customer service over the studs not working well in the RS15. While there isn't an immediate solution, their customer service team was awesome! They asked questions and listened to my responses. Thank you World Rugby Shop!!"

Do not fit well in RS15

"After my first session with these (only kicking and a little running), I lost 1 stud and multiple were loose. I tightened them right before the session. The design of the RS15 makes it so these studs only thread in just barely. I will keep trying them, but I am expecting to continue to lose studs."

Don’t fit

"Says that they work with Canterbury speed series. I purchased the “Infinite Elite SG” and they don’t fit into the boot"

Kris (1/5)

Studs

"I had bought these studs and then after one touch session half of them fell out of the cleat. Went to buy more they were sold out and had to try the other size where the same result occurred and I wasn’t able to find the studs that fell out either."

Turf studs

"Great length studs for artificial pitches ."

Dennis G. (5/5)

Work fine, not the longest lasting

"I used these studs on my Adidas RS15 boots for 7s season. The 11 mm studs were primarily used on well-maintained grass fields 3-5 times a week, though I intended to use them for matches on turf surfaces. The studs performed well, but some of them only lasted a month before the metal core was exposed. I am unsure whether the wear is due to using the turf studs on grass since the 8 mm was recommended for firm/hard surfaces."
