The American University Rugby Football Club (AURFC) kicked-off for the first time in 1964 and is the university's oldest continuously active club sport. Located in Washington DC, AURFC competes in the American Capitol Rugby Union against teams in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Competing in Division II collegiate rugby, AURFC has two active Union 15 sides and offers informal summer 7s.
