Founded in 1981 by English immigrant, Peter Cholerton, the JCRFC is part of USA Rugby, USA Rugby South Conference, and the Carolina Rugby Union, making it a nationally sanctioned club. Since its inception, the club has experienced varying degrees of success, including being twice crowned Midsouth champions in 2010 and 2011.
