Iowa City Ducks Rugby Club

Formed in 1981, The Iowa City Ducks Rugby Football Club (ICRFC)is an amateur men's rugby team whose home is in Iowa City, Iowa. The Iowa City Ducks are members of the Midwest Rugby Football Union (MRFU) and USA Rugby. Legend has it that the Ducks originally played rugby as the Iowa City ‘Ruffians’ however, they soon adopted the name ‘Ducks’, a moniker given to them as a nod to the repeated game interruptions caused by angry waterfowl!
