The teams compete in the Midwest and Ohio Rugby Unions; the men in Division III and the women in Division II. The men’s rugby side was established on January 1, 1994, they have since grown to boast an active roster of over 50 players. The Kelts’ women’s team was originally formed in 2000, they also continue to actively expand their membership.
The Cincinnati Kelts pride themselves on their community involvement, applying the character, discipline, and integrity that is fundamental to rugby to all areas of their lives. To this end the Kelts proudly continue to promote the sport of rugby by helping to develop local youth rugby programs. The club is also involved in several philanthropic causes, amongst others, the annual ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk’.
