Known as “The Flying Prince,” Alexander Obolensky excelled in rugby, gaining two rugby blues representing Oxford University. In 1936 he scored 2 tries on his England debut in a 13-0 victory over the NZ. Obolensky's debut game was the first time that England defeated New Zealand in a rugby match. England would then be unable to defeat New Zealand again until 1973. During 1936 The Flying Prince would gain 3 more caps playing for England.
