The 1930 tour of New Zealand was the first time in 22 years the Lions would step foot in the country. This would be the first time, in fact, that the team would leave Britain as the "Lions" after being coined as such during their time in South Africa in the mid-1920s.

The selection process was particularly difficult this year- only 9 of the initial 28 who received invitations would, in the end, join the squad.  This led selectors on a frenzy of inquiries leading to over 100 men asked before a team of 29 could be fielded.

The Lions would have a hard time on the tour (losing three matches in New Zealand and their sole match in Australia), but their single victory would include one of the most prolific moments for the team to date.

Almost to their own touchline, Lions' speedster Ivor Jones would run the pitch's entirety in a display of speed and dexterity. Drawing in the last defender, he would set up Jack Morley to run in the winning score.

Clothe yourself in history as you wear this rugger - steeped in the legacy of the Lions. Dating back to the inception of their famous nickname, this jersey is the best gift for an English Rugby fan.
