North South Rugby Baseball Cap

North South Rugby Cap

Don't miss out on this extremely unique hat touting one of Rugby's most anticipated events.

The Interisland match of New Zealand between the North Island and South Island teams first began in June of 1897. It became an annual event after 1902.  However, the competition was interrupted due to war and other uncontrollable circumstances some years and since 1986 has not been played on a regular basis.  Non the less, it is a well known New Zealand rugby tradition that is well anticipated when scheduled. The North Island teams in black jerseys and the South Island teams in white battle it out in fierce rugby fashion.
