Nike has a long history of outfitting the London team with 3 European Rugby Champions Cup titles which the Saracens RFC won in 2016, 2017 and 2019. This Saracens jersey has a relaxed fit and is constructed with highly breathable, lightweight fabric, keeping one cool and dry in the stands or on the field. Three stars above the badge mark the teams three European victories. The Saracens "Sarries" name is reminiscent of the "endurance, enthusiasm and perceived invincibility" of Saladin's 12th century desert warriors. Fittingly, since its birth in 1876, the team has dominated many opponents with the fierce play of some of the greatest rugby athletes in the world, including Jamie George, Mary Itoje, Owen Farrell, Liam Williams, and American-British union player Chris Wyles (2008-2018).
