This official Lions waterproof jacket, designed by Canterbury, has you covered! Insulated on the inside and waterproof on the outer layer, you'll stay warm and dry in the rainy, cool weather. The mid-length cut gives more coverage when sitting on wet benches and a hide-away, peaked hood provides head protection that allows you to stay focused on the game. A double-ended, full-zip front gives one the option to unzip just the lower half. Zippered side pockets keep personal times safe and dry.
The jacket's red body is accented by black zippers, a white CCC logo on the right chest, a white 'SA' inscription over an SA flag on the right sleeve, and the Lions logo over the heart.
The Lions rugby union team, made up of players eligible for the national teams England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland was founded in 1888 as Shaw and Shrewsbury Team. At that time, it consisted mostly of English players and some from Scotland and Wales. Later, the team’s name became British Isles and then British Lions was adopted. Prior to the 2001 tour of Australia, the official name became the British and Irish Lions, and has remained so since. Today, the squad consisting of players from all the Home Nations anxiously awaits its upcoming 2021 tour of South Africa in July.
