The Chiefs Rugby Football Club was founded in 2007 by the Waubonsie Valley High School, at that time the club was known as the Waubonsie Valley Rugby Football Club. As local interest in the sport of rugby grew, they began to accept players from Metea Valley High School, Oswego High School and Oswego East High School. In 2012, they also added a Middle School program, then, in 2014, the club rebranded to become known as the ‘Chiefs Rugby Football Club’. The club is now home to a variety of teams including High School Boys, High School Girls, Middle School boys and girls , and an Elementary Rookie Rugby team; they are currently accept youth from Aurora, Montgomery, Plano, Oswego & Yorkville, Illinois.
