Athletes must prepare effectively before training and competition to prevent injury and maximize performance. Todd Norman opens his presentation with three series of effective warm-up routines that include; basic movement drills, inclined treadmill activities, and a 3-minute jump rope routine. Coach Norman then goes on to demonstrate how dynamic stretching prior to training actively prepares the body by maintaining core temperature and increased blood flow to the muscles and joints.
